How do you certify a Christmas box as Carbon Neutral?
Cortilia committed to selecting products with a low-impact philosophy, such as our Ri-Snack and Biova beers, made using recovered ingredients.
CO₂ emissions generated along the box’s supply chain were measured and further reduced, allowing each “Carbon Neutral Gifts” box to generate only 6.4 kg of CO₂.
To offset the unavoidable share of CO₂ (and other greenhouse gases), Cortilia chose to support two projects:
a certified project protecting 1,150,200 hectares of rainforest in Matavel, Colombia, involving local communities and fostering sustainable economic growth;
the restoration and reforestation of areas within Parco Campo dei Fiori (VA) that were severely damaged by extreme weather in autumn 2020.
By using the ClimatePartner label with ID number 21025-2210-1001, you can personally verify how and where CO₂ offsetting took place. The carbon credit registry management process is certified by TÜV Austria.
