Ri-Snack distributed to 2,000 schoolchildren in Chieri
Thanks to Camst group we launched an important recovery and awareness project focused on food waste.
We collected surplus bread that was not distributed in schools and transformed it into our Ri-Snacks.
The distribution of Ri-snack was not just a moment of consumption, but also an educational opportunity to teach children about the circular economy and food waste. On Tuesday, May 21st, 2024, in the schools of Chieri, we distributed our delicious snacks, made from bread that had not been distributed by school canteens managed by Camst Group.

A Project of Education and Sustainability
We created a poster to explain the Ri-Snack project to children and parents, highlighting our commitment to fighting food waste. This project, born from the collaboration between Biova Project and Camst Group, aims to raise awareness among children and their families about the importance of reducing waste and adopting sustainable practices.
The Ri-Snack Creation Process
Ri-Snacks are produced using bread that was not distributed in school canteens. The process strictly follows circular economy principles: we recover surplus bread, process it, and transform it into tasty snacks that are then distributed to children as a snack. In this way, we not only reduce food waste but also offer an innovative and delicious solution to give new life to food surpluses.
The Role of Biova Project
Biova Project was founded with a clear mission: to contribute to the fight against food waste by following the principles of the circular economy. Our approach is based on three key pillars: recovery, reuse, and reduction. Every step of our process is designed to maximize efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
We intercept surplus food before it is wasted.
We transport the surplus to a processing unit close to the recovery site, minimizing transport and therefore environmental impact.
We design tailored products for surplus recovery, reducing the use of raw materials.
We reintroduce the new products to the market, giving them high added value.
A Concrete Commitment
In Italy, 5.6 million tonnes of food are wasted every year, 57% of which occurs at the production or distribution stage. Our mission is to transform this waste into new value, reducing the amount of food that becomes discarded or unsold.
A Sustainable Future for Everyone
Thanks to the partnership with Camst Group, we distributed Ri-Snacks to 2,000 schoolchildren in Chieri. This initiative not only provides a tasty snack, but also represents an important step towards building a more sustainable future.
Together with Camst Group and everyone who made this initiative possible, we are helping to create a better world, one step at a time. Every Ri-Snack distributed is a small but meaningful contribution to the fight against food waste, proving that with commitment and creativity, problems can be turned into opportunities.
A Big Thank You
A big thank you to Camst Group for their support and to everyone who helped make this initiative possible. Together, we are building a more sustainable future, one step at a time.
