Biova Project - our initiative created to fight food waste by transforming unsold bread into craft beer - has become a concrete example of how circular economy and sustainability can truly make a difference. Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to tell our story and share our values through several podcasts that highlight the power of innovative ideas for a more sustainable future.

Biova Project’s circular marketing

Emanuela Barbano, Biova’s co-founder, was a guest on Marketibility, where she spoke about the meaning of Biova as a “brand with purpose.” The episode explores how sustainability and circular economy are central to our communication strategy and to the core values of the project.

Enhancing food waste: turning bread into beer

Our co-founder Franco Dipietro took part in the Sfridoo Podcast, sharing Biova’s practical approach to turning food waste into a resource. In this episode, Franco delves into the concept of upcycling, showing how unsold bread becomes not just beer, but also an opportunity to rethink traditional production models.

Stories of change: L’Italia Che Cambia

On the Italia Che Cambia podcast, we talk about how Biova helps reduce the 1,800 tons of bread wasted every day in Italy. This episode highlights how our mission is built on environmental and social sustainability, proving that change is possible through conscious choices.

Futuri Sostenibili: our podcast

To amplify the sustainability message, Biova launched its own podcast, Futuri Sostenibili. The project aims to inspire entrepreneurs and citizens to rethink their relationship with food waste and resources, promoting sustainable and innovative business models.

Biova’s commitment to the circular economy

Through our participation in these podcasts and initiatives, we strive to act as ambassadors of a circular economy that creates value for both the environment and the community. Every liter of beer produced using unsold bread is not just a beverage - it’s a powerful message to reduce waste and build a fairer, more sustainable food system.

Listen and get inspired

We invite you to learn more about our vision and our commitment by listening to these podcasts. Sustainability is not just a word - it’s a daily action that can transform our future.
